My Bellsouth DSL connection is down (again). The free modem provided by the phone company lasts around 18 months, then it quits working. I’m on my third one. So I guess I’m on temporary hiatus until a new one arrives.

Gotta give props to Bellsouth’s tech support: BS quickly agreed to overnight a new modem. Should be back up tomorrow or the day after.
Been there.. I feel for you… Keep it on a surge protector for the electrical line AND the phone line… slight brown outs and surges during rain storms and as a result of living near large industrial buildings, can wreak havoc on these devices…
We did have a couple of brown-outs last week, with all the thunderstorms. Guess it got fried.
