After a long winter & cool spring, my artichoke plants finally sent up flower stalks.  Only two buds as of now, but I’m hoping that my remaining two plants will catch up soon.

Making up for the lackluster artichoke crop are the bountiful tomatoes–unfortunately, I think they’ll all ripen at once!  Lots of caprese salads, salsa crudo, and BLTs are in my near future.  Guess I’ll have to make a loaf of sourdough bread in anticipation of the BLTs…
