Pecan whole wheat bread

A whole wheat pecan bread recipe from the King Arthur Flour Whole Grains cookbook resuled in a sturdy, delicious loaf.  Finely ground pecans give the loaf a crunchy texture, plus the nuts add flavor to a direct-dough, four hour recipe that might otherwise taste insipid and yeasty.

It’s a bread made for spreading with cream cheese and jam, toasted or not.
