Mark your calendars: Thursday, June 6th, from 7 to 10 pm, “An Evening for Erin” will take place at the historic Southport Hall ($35 per person, 200 Monticello Avenue, old Jefferson, LA). Erin Crossin Grenon, a teacher at St. George’s Episcopal School, fell off a ladder at home while taking down Mardi Gras decorations, and she suffered a profound brain injury. (Read more about Erin’s story here.) To support her rehabilitation, family and friends are throwing a party at Southport with food & drinks, headlined by the Hot Shots.
Or, if fishing is more your style, you can help out at the “Fishing for Erin” rodeo on Saturday, June 11th, from 6 am to 6 pm at Joe’s Landing in Lafitte. Cost is $100 per boat (up to 4 people), with prizes, fish cleaning, a boat wash, food and beer available. Email fishingforerin@yahoo.com for more information.
Thanks for the shout-out Celeste. It will be a fun night for a great girl.
It’s the least I could do. I hope y’all blow the doors off the place!
