Mall food courts are no fun: noisy, crowded, full of mediocre to bad food at inflated prices. Yet one food-court staple draws me in every time. I can’t pass up vertical-spit-roasted chicken shawarma.
So I present for your consideration the #6 combination platter from Arzi’s Cafe (Mall of Louisiana food court, Baton Rouge; 225.769.9998), a pile of chicken shawarma, feta salad, and hummus.
10 years ago they had a full service branch Lafayette that I ate at. Very good
Arzi’s shawarma is still my favorite….despite trying every other sort of chicken shawarma that crosses my path.
I like the #14 with the mystery meat sausage. What’s in that stuff? It’s great.
I think it’s a lamb sausage…
