Nice, breezy, spring weather is here: enjoy it while you can, because at this rate, it will be 85 degrees by April 1st.
A few food related good deals have crossed my desk lately:
- Limited time offer: join the Southern Food & Beverage Museum at the “Friends & Family” level and receive a DVD of “No One Ever Went Hungry: Cajun Food Traditions Then & Now,” Kevin McCaffery’s latest documentary film.
- Get $5 off a $10 purchase from Penzey’s Spices. Enter the code 00002C in the “Express Ordering” section of the online store to receive the discount.
- Free shipping on all orders of $25 or more at Jessica’s Biscuit/ecookbooks.com, the online bookstore with the world’s largest selection of cookbooks.
And I just discovered Google’s recipe search. In case you, like me, missed the news, Google launched a new “recipe” search. Go over to Google and put in a broad recipe title, like grilled cheese or gumbo. When the search results pop up, look carefully at the left-hand menu adjacent to the search results (it’s the hyperlinked list that starts with “Everything”). You’ll see “Recipes” down near the bottom of the list. Go ahead, click on it: Google will help you narrow the search results by ingredients, calorie counts, and prep time.
