Rain, every day for the past eight or nine days….my garden is slowly reverting to the swamp from whence it came. If I had a quarter for each screaming frog in my yard, I could retire tomorrow. So what to eat, when it’s too hot and steamy to grill or barbecue? Too hot to bake bread? Too hot to think about cooking? I decided to go Italian and have cheese, bread, and salumi. Last night’s dinner consisted of Fra Mani’s salame toscano (purchased at St. James Cheese Company), a bit of proscuitto, pecorino cheese, olives, and bread.
