Mama Hamil’s (just off of US 51, at Cobblestone Drive and/or Magnolia St, in 0Madison, MS) features an enormous buffet, highlighting Southern-style veggies like pole beans, blackeyed peas, smothered cabbage, and fried okra. Who needs meat when the sides are so tasty?
Is that the place on 51 in between Jacktown and Madison?
Yes, the very same.

I used to eat there when i lived there. Got a big ole raciest flag out front. Believe me, it was for hate, not for heritage.
The crowd inside, during a weekday lunch, was pretty integrated for Madison, MS.
Flag is gone if was ever up. No racism here. Staff and guests as integrated/diverse as can be.
I would invite you to visit sometime.
Thanks for your comment–I did visit, and as I previously posted above, the staff and patrons were diverse and enjoying themselves. I wish I had a plate of those fried chicken livers right now, or one of those corn muffins.
Yes, I think I will. I do remember some darn good food. I have recently been traveling through the area and have really noticed a big diversity in the Madison area. I used to live there 10 years ago. Back then, if you weren’t white and you were traveling north of County Line Road, you were pulled over and searched. I guess things can change.
