Bread pudding, tweaked

P8110505What to do with dozens of leftover, stale pistolettes from Chez Pierre bakery?  Obviously, bread pudding:  King Arthur Flour’s cherry bread pudding recipe puts a nice spin on the standard.  In lieu of raisins or canned fruit cocktail (the usual additions to bread pudding ’round these parts), dried cherries provide a chewy, tart-sweet counterpoint.  Go ahead, gild the lily and toss in chopped almonds.
