Tapas at Rambla (217 Camp Street, NOLA, inside the International House hotel) are the perfect choice when hot weather dulls the appetite. My favorite offering on the current menu is a flatbread topped with figs, blue cheese, and serrano ham; the salty/sweet combination shakes my appetite out of its summer doldrums. Plus, it’s easy to replicate at home, either with fresh, peeled figs or a jar of fig jam.
