Liquid levain, dead again!

My sourdough starter is DEAD.  Again.  This makes #3 to show faint signs of life, then expire.  I officially give up, for now.  I’m just gonna bite the bullet and buy some dehydrated French sourdough starter from King Arthur.  $9 worth of it makes just 12 loaves of bread, so it’s not exactly cheap, but it is less frustrating than tending to a jar of sludge that eventually disappoints.
