Grits in the crockpot

For my family reunion today, I cooked grillades & grits for 50, and I tried out the crockpot method for grits.  New to me, but apparently used by others with great success…add the standard amount of long-cooking grits and liquid to the crockpot, set it to low, and cook for 10 to 12 hours.  I’m pleasantly surprised this morning; the grits are thick, creamy, and perfectly cooked.  I’ll definitely do it again!
