Attention, my baking friends:  you still have time to enter the 2013 National Festival of Breads recipe and baking competition.  Sponsored by the Kansas Wheat Commission, King Arthur Flour, and Fleischmann’s Yeast, this is the country’s only nationwide amateur bread baking contest.  Read the complete rules and enter here.  Finalists receive a trip to Kansas, where they will prepare their breads in a bake-off.  The grand prize winner receives an expenses-paid trip to King Arthur Flour in Norwich, VT, and a class of his/her choice at KA’s Baking Education Center.  New for 2013:  a Youth category!
