Beautiful fall weather arrived just in time for the French Food Festival this weekend (October 23, 24 & 25). The fundraising food festival supports the Larose Regional Park, a nonprofit park/civic center and community organization. My family will be cooking more than 100 gallons of gumbo (from scratch, on site), as we have for 30+ years.
Join us for food & fun….the fest offers beaucoup dishes, ranging from seafood gumbo, grillades, boudin, cracklins, and roti (pork stew), to fried crab claws, oysters, shrimp fettucini, shrimp boulettes, jambalaya, crawfish etouffee, alligator sauce piquante, funnel cakes, pralines, and more.
I wish I could have been to this food festival. I love French food.
