Tasty bites from the 2009 Boudin Cookoff…left to right: spicy white boudin from Napoleon Avenue Meat Market of Sunset; spicy white boudin from Janise’s Supermarket, also in Sunset; red boudin from Babineaux’s Slaughterhouse in Breaux Bridge; and white boudin from Billeaud’s. I also sampled boudin from T-Boy’s Boudin & Cracklin in Mamou and Nunu’s Fresh Market in Youngsville, but I ate too fast to get any photos!
Would have loved to go but had to attend Rouge et Blanc here in lake charles
The weather was gorgeous, and the boudin was cheap & plentiful…just fifty cents for the tasting portions.
