Jambalaya, river parishes style

p4040128Reward for a 5K up and over the 160-ft high Hale Boggs bridge:  a steaming bowl of chicken and sausage jambalaya, cooked in a black iron pot by the friendly employees of Cytec.  Light brown, meaty, without a trace of tomato, it was a fine thing for a post-race breakfast.  Too bad the free beer was Michelob Ultra…
