Just the thing to restore the spirit after a long day of Christmas shopping:  onion rings at Liuzza’s, 3636 Bienville Street in New Orleans.  Just don’t order a roast beef poboy; it was  sadly disappointing, chewy, flavorless.  Stick to the fried stuff, or the frenchuletta.
