My idea of a perfect lunch:  half a panino and a cup of soup for $6.95 from La Divina gelateria, 3005 Magazine Street in New Orleans.  Choose your own fillings, or try one of the inspired combinations like prosciutto, chevre, and hot sauce.

Be sure to save room for gelato; the pear-gorgonzola-walnut flavor is especially good right now.  La Divina uses local milk from Smith’s Creamery’s pastured dairy herd, so you can feel good about indulging.
